Swap and Blog: Cut.Your.Heart.Out Handmade Switch & Swap

Join the first semi-annual Cut.Your.Heart.Out Handmade Switch & Swap! Exchange handmade goodies with fellow crafters and handmade shop owners. This is a fun way to promote your shop as well as sample handmade items from another shop. It's easy peasy to participate. Sign up. Create a blog post about your participation. Wait to be paired up. Check your email for your swap recipient. Create and mail out a pretty package of your craftiness. Wait for your package. Open you package. Take lots of pictures. Post a blog about what you received and include a link to the Cut.Your.Heart.Out blog as well as the shop/blog of your craft sender. Send Cut.Your.Heart.Out a link to your post. DONE!

Registration closes May 20, 2011.

Rules

1. You must be a US resident.


2. You must have an active blog (updated at least 3 times a month).


3. You must create a blog post about your participation in this swap and link back to this post.


4. You must send a package with a total value of at least $15 in handmade items.


5. You must send your item out by June 3, 2011 .


6. Your item must be mailed with delivery confirmation tracking and you must submit this delivery confirmation number to Jessica (Cut.Your.Heart.Out).


7. You must create a blog post once you receive your package and the post must include pictures, a link to the Cut.Your.Heart.Out blog as well as a link to your giver's shop or blog.


8. If you do not adhere to all the rules as outlined here (in particular the rules regarding the sending of the package and the overall value of the package) you will be banned from future swaps.

Step By Step

1. Sign up to participate in the swap.


2. Bookmark this page for reference and links to submission forms for tracking, blog links, etc.


3. Create a post on your blog about your participation in the swap with a link back to this post. You may right click and save the image above to include in your post if you wish.


4. Start thinking about what you will include in your package that has a total value of at least $15. Please keep in mind if you are a shop owner, this is a representation of your work. Feel free to include promotional items for your shop or blog such as business cards, stickers, pens, etc.


5. Check your email on May 23, 2011 for the name and address of your Switch and Swap partner.


6. Send out your package by June 3, 2011 and make sure to get Delivery Confirmation or Tracking for your package.


7. Submit the tracking number.


8. Wait to receive your package!!!


9. When you receive your package, be sure to take pictures.


10. Create a post on your blog about the items. Be sure to post a link to the Cut.Your.Heart.Out blog (http://www.cutyourheartout.blogspot.com) as well as a link to the shop and/or blog of your handmade gifter/partner.


11. Submit a link to your blog post.
